How to do the Kettlebell Snatch Intervals

Cardio and Front delts · also works glutes, hamstrings, core

Step by step

  1. Stand over the kettlebell and hike it back between your legs from a hip hinge.
  2. Snap your hips to drive the bell up close to your body.
  3. Punch your hand up and through so the bell rotates around and settles overhead.
  4. Lower it under control and switch hands each round.
  5. Take short breaks whenever you need - this should challenge you, not wear you out.
The thing people get wrong

Punch your hand up through the bell at the top so it wraps around gently instead of flipping over and banging your wrist.

Coaching cue

Send the bell up with a sharp hip snap instead of pulling it with your arm.

Stay safe

Learn swings and cleans first, and stop the set the moment your grip starts slipping.

Make it easier or harder
