How to do the Band Front Raise

Front delts

Step by step

  1. Stand on the middle of a band and hold an end in each hand at your thighs.
  2. Keep a slight bend in your elbows and your core braced.
  3. Raise your hands straight in front of you to about shoulder height.
  4. Lower them back down slowly, resisting the band's pull.
The thing people get wrong

Control the band on the way down instead of letting it snap your arms back - stop the raise at shoulder height, not overhead.

Coaching cue

Keep your body still and let the arms do the work; no swinging or leaning back.

What to do instead

Same job, different movement — useful if you don't have the equipment or it doesn't feel right today.

Daily Coach builds this into a real weekly plan. It picks the exercises for your equipment and experience, swaps around injuries you tell it about, and tracks what you actually lifted.
